BUTEKOM has been established in 2008 under the name of “Uludağ Exporters Union, Bursa Textile and Confection Technology, Education, Research, Consultancy and Energy Efficiency Services” by the Uludağ Exporters Union.

BUTEKOM’s purpose is to encourage and support the textile and apparel companies in and
around Bursa for the production of innovative technical textiles and apparel
products, for the development of high value-added fashion and brand named
products. Additionally, BUTEKOM focused on the projects deal with energy efficiency
and environment friendly production in textiles.  The main services are R&D project
development and management, consulting for eco-label and eco-design in textile
products, market and technology research, seminars and training programmes etc.
